Each family living at Coburn Place says “thank you” to the countless community members who support our program. This year, as in years past, each woman and child living at Coburn Place was “adopted” to receive gifts during the holiday season. In addition, a collaboration of community funders (called CERF) provided a grant specifically designated to meet the residents most urgent needs.

Tiffany is nearing an important anniversary—it’s been one year since she took her children and fled her abusive partner. For one year, Tiffany and her children have been safe and protected from the violence that used to rule her life.

Fear, uncertainty and anxiety made “Tiffany’s” hands tremble as she picked up the phone and dialed the number to Coburn Place Safe Haven. She waited for an answer and hoped that someone could help her. She heard, “Good afternoon, this is Coburn Place. How may I help you?”
