CONGRATULATIONS, DEB, WE'RE SO PROUD OF YOU!
|
We've been sitting on a big secret, and it's time to let it out! Deb Williams, Women's Services Director, has been honored by the Sunshine Lady Foundation for her outstanding service to domestic violence victims with the Sunshine Peace Award. As one of just 20 recipients in the country, Deb received her award in a ceremony this past weekend in Wilmington, NC.
Each woman that has passed through the doors of Coburn Place has experienced Deb's compassionate and straight-forward approach to helping them achieve their goals. Each staff member that has seen in her in action has witnessed her passion and dedication to helping women believe in themselves and achieve self-sufficiency. We have always admired and celebrated these qualities in Deb; she is a shining example to women everywhere. And now we are so pleased that she has received national recognition for her work. Read more about Deb (and even post a congratulatory comment!) in an article published in the 8/9/08 edition of the Indianapolis Star.
